- How much do wrinkle relaxers cost?

- How soon do wrinkle relaxers start working?
- Not on the day of the appointment. For BOTOX® Cosmetic, the manufacturer labeling describes the effect starting one to two days afterwards and building through the first week; the American Academy of Dermatology puts most results at three to seven days. So judge the result at the two-week mark, not in the car on the way home. If anything wants adjusting once it has settled, that is a conversation we welcome.
- How long do wrinkle relaxers last?
- For BOTOX® Cosmetic, the manufacturer labeling puts the effect at approximately three to four months, and the American Academy of Dermatology says the same: about three to four months. After that it is simply time for a next visit, if you want one — there is no obligation to keep a schedule. Some people maintain a regular rhythm, others book around occasions, and both are welcome here. DAXXIFY® and Dysport® carry their own labeling, which your injector walks through with you at your consultation.
- Is there downtime after wrinkle relaxers?
- Expect little to no downtime from the appointment itself. The real planning question is settling time: the effect begins one to two days afterwards and builds through the first week, so what you see that evening is not the finished result. If there is a wedding, a reunion, or a photograph on the calendar, put the appointment at least two weeks ahead of it.
- Do wrinkle relaxers hurt?
- Most people describe a quick pinch at each placement. The needle is very fine, so numbing is usually not needed, and any tenderness typically fades within a day. If needles make you nervous, tell us and we will talk through ways to keep you comfortable.
- How long does a wrinkle relaxer appointment take?
- It is booked for thirty minutes, and the injections themselves typically take less than fifteen of them. Your first treatment starts with a free consultation, held at the start of that visit.
- Should I get wrinkle relaxers or dermal filler?
- They do different jobs. A wrinkle relaxer softens lines that come from movement, like frown lines and crow's feet, by relaxing the muscle that creases them; a hyaluronic-acid filler adds volume, to the lips, cheeks, chin or deeper folds. Some people need one, some both, and the free consultation is where we work out which fits what you see.
- Do wrinkle relaxers treat forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet?
- Yes: the lines across the forehead, the frown lines between the brows, and the crow's feet at the corners of the eyes. Wrinkle relaxers, sometimes called anti-wrinkle injections, soften lines that come from movement by relaxing the muscle that creases them. Deeper folds that come from lost volume are a different job, for filler, and the free consultation is where we work out which fits what you see.
- Is the consultation free?
