Accessibility

Usable by everyone.

What we build to, what we have measured, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Our commitment

éclat Spa & Wellness wants everyone to be able to read this site, find our hours, understand a treatment, and book an appointment, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Accessibility is part of how we build the site rather than something we check at the end, and a problem found here is treated as a defect to fix, not a request to consider.

The standard we build to

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the standard U.S. courts have consistently applied to business websites. We believe this site substantially conforms to it. We say “substantially” rather than claiming full conformance because the site changes often and no formal end-to-end audit has been carried out since our last review date above.

What we have actually done, rather than what we intend to do:

  • Automated accessibility testing across every page of the site, at both desktop and mobile sizes, with the results treated as release blockers rather than as a report.
  • Measured colour contrast, including text set over photographs and gradients, where automated tools alone are unreliable.
  • Full support for the “reduce motion” setting on your device: animations, the moving hero, and the sliding reveals become still or instant.
  • Keyboard operation throughout, including a skip-to-content link as the first stop on every page, a visible focus outline, and no keyboard traps.
  • Anything that moves or advances on its own can be paused, and offers real buttons rather than only a swipe.
  • Labelled form fields, and a confirmation that is announced to a screen reader rather than only shown.
  • Captions on video that contains speech.

What we know is not perfect

Three parts of this site are built and served by other companies, inside our pages. We do not control their code and cannot correct it:

  • Online booking. Booking opens our scheduling provider’s own window, and its accessibility is theirs rather than ours.
  • The chat bubble. Where it appears, it is our scheduling provider’s chat product.
  • The map on our contact page, which is Google’s embedded map.

If any of those gets in your way, you never have to use it. Call us at (480) 903-4544 or email info@eclatazmedspa.com and a person will book you, answer the question, or give you directions.

We also publish before-and-after photography, which is visual by nature. Each image carries a text description of what it shows, and the treatments behind those images are described in words on their own pages.

Tell us about a barrier

If you have trouble using any part of this site, please tell us. It helps to know what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, but write as little or as much as you like — we would rather hear about it in one line than not at all.

  • Email: info@eclatazmedspa.com
  • Phone: (480) 903-4544
  • In person: 13637 N Tatum Blvd, Suite 11, Phoenix, AZ 85032

We aim to reply within three business days. If a fix will take longer than that, we will tell you what we are doing and offer another way to get what you needed in the meantime.

Please do not include medical, health, or treatment details in a message about an accessibility problem. Email is not a secure channel, and we can help with the website without them.

Something in the way?

Tell us and we'll fix it.

A one-line email is enough. If the site is the obstacle, call us and we'll take care of it by phone.
