Your First Med Spa Visit: A Paradise Valley Guide
The short answer
A first visit is a conversation, not a commitment: you sit down with a medical professional, talk through your skin and your goals, and leave with a plan priced from our published menu. We are in North Phoenix on Tatum, minutes from Paradise Valley, and the consultation is free.
Paradise Valley has a particular relationship with looking after yourself: the town is full of people who plan carefully, research thoroughly, and still put off the first med spa visit for months. Not for lack of options. For lack of a clear picture of what actually happens once you are in the room, and a mild suspicion that the answer is a sales pitch with a robe on.
This guide is that picture, written for the Paradise Valley reader specifically, because we are your neighbors. éclat Spa & Wellness sits in North Phoenix on North Tatum Boulevard, roughly ten to fifteen minutes up Tatum from most of the town, which makes a first visit the rare errand that fits between school pickup and dinner.
Here is the whole arc: what to book, what the conversation covers, who you will meet, what things cost from our published menu, and how a plan gets timed around a real Paradise Valley calendar. The short version of all of it is that a first visit is a conversation, it costs nothing, and you leave owing nothing.
How close is éclat to Paradise Valley?
We are in North Phoenix, serving Paradise Valley and Scottsdale, on North Tatum Boulevard at the north end of the corridor you already drive: from most of Paradise Valley, the trip is a straight run up Tatum of roughly ten to fifteen minutes. No freeway required, though the 51 works too from the west side of town.
That proximity changes what a first visit costs you in the only currency that matters at this stage, which is time. A consultation is an unhurried conversation, and with the drive this short it fits inside a normal morning. We welcome walk-ins and prefer appointments: a booked consultation means the room and the time are genuinely yours, with nobody watching a clock.

What should you book first?
A consultation, and nothing else. Not a treatment you researched at midnight, not a package, not a series. Just the conversation. Ours is free, it carries no obligation, and every treatment plan we build starts there, because the right first treatment is something we work out looking at your actual skin rather than something you are expected to arrive knowing.
You do not need to arrive fluent in treatment names. Most people come in with something they have noticed rather than something they can name: sun spots that photograph darker than they look in the mirror, a line that stays after the expression leaves, skin that reads tired in a way sleep has stopped fixing. That is plenty. Turning a concern into the right treatment, or into the honest answer that no treatment is the right move yet, is our job.
And if you do arrive knowing exactly what you want, that works too. The conversation just starts further along.
Who will you actually meet?
A medical professional, in a room with a door that closes. Everything we do is performed or supervised by medical professionals: a clinical team led by our Medical Director, a nurse practitioner, working alongside licensed aestheticians. So the visit starts the way a medical appointment does, with your history, anything you have tried before and how it went, and your skin as it actually is that day.
Then it becomes a conversation about goals, asked as real questions rather than a script. What bothers you in photographs? What does better look like to you? We aim for natural-looking results, which sometimes means recommending less than you expected to be offered, and saying so out loud.
That last sentence does real work in Paradise Valley, where the local standard is looking rested rather than done. Nobody in this town wants to walk into a dinner party as the before and after; the compliment people actually want is that they seem well. Recommending less is not a sales technique in reverse. It is what aiming for natural-looking results means when you say it out loud with a straight face.
We hold the conversation in one of the treatment rooms: a made bed, warm light, quiet. Even if we treat nothing that day, you will have seen the room where it would happen and met the person who would do it. Most first-visit nervousness is just the unknown, and after one visit it is not unknown anymore.
Will anyone try to sell you something?
No, and we mean that as a standing promise rather than a slogan. The consultation is free, with no pressure and no obligation. We hold it so that both of us can make a good decision, not so that anyone can close one.
Our prices come from the menu, not from the moment. Whatever plan we build together is priced from the same published list anyone can read on our website before ever coming in, and nothing gets discounted into urgency while you are holding your car keys. You take the plan home. Booking is yours to do when you are ready: that day, that month, or not at all.
If something you ask about is not the right fit for your skin, your timeline, or your budget, we will tell you plainly, with the reasoning. An honest no at a consultation is worth more than a soft yes at a checkout counter, and it is also how we would want to be treated ten minutes from our own house.
What do treatments actually cost?
Every price we charge is published, which still surprises people. Here is the list as it stands, the same one on our services pages. Starting prices mark the entry version of a treatment, and your own estimated total is put in writing at the consultation before anything is booked.
- Starting prices mark the entry version: the base area, the single session, the smallest plan.
- What moves a number, add-ons and larger plans, is published too rather than saved for the room.
- Financing through Cherry is available; the details live at the consultation.
| Treatment | Published price |

| Wrinkle relaxers | Starting at $13 per unit; lip flip $140 |

| Microneedling | Face $225; series of three from $600 |
| Microneedling with PDRN | Face $350 |

How does a plan get timed around a real calendar?
This is where a consultation earns its keep, because the right timing depends on what the treatment asks of the weeks around it, and Paradise Valley calendars are not empty. Galas and benefit season, spring travel, a summer that empties the town, photographs at all of it.
Two examples of the kind of arithmetic we do with you. Neurotoxin does not arrive on the day it is injected: the manufacturer labeling describes the effect starting one to two days afterwards and building through the first week, and the American Academy of Dermatology puts most results at three to seven days. So that appointment wants to sit at least two weeks before a date that matters, enough for the result to settle and enough to adjust it if anything wants adjusting.
Light is a different calculation. After a BBL appointment we ask that treated skin stay out of direct sun for fourteen days, and that extended sun exposure be avoided beforehand too, since a tan changes what the light is aimed at. Fourteen days out of direct sun is an easy promise in a Paradise Valley January and a hard one in June, which is why so much of this planning is really calendar work.
None of this is meant to be memorized. It is meant to show what the consultation actually does: it builds backward from your dates, using the timing each treatment honestly needs, so nothing lands in the wrong week.
What should you bring, and what should you ask?
Bring nothing, honestly: come as you are, makeup and all. What genuinely helps is a rough idea of your current skin routine, anything you are taking, and the photographs that made you think about coming in. Questions help most of all, written down, because everyone forgets one.
If you want a starter set, these five earn their place in any med spa consultation, anywhere:
- What would you honestly recommend for my skin, and what would you not?
- What does the full plan cost, in writing, from the published menu?
- Who performs each treatment, and who supervises?
- What will the days afterwards actually look like for me?
- What happens if I do nothing for now?

When can you come in, and how do you book?
Our hours are built around real schedules rather than banker's ones: Monday through Thursday 10:00 to 5:30, Friday 10:00 to 4:00, Saturday 11:00 to 3:00, and Sunday we rest. The quiet hours are mid-morning midweek, if you want the calmest version of a first visit; Saturdays book up first.
Booking works three ways, in order of how much we recommend them. Book online through our website, which takes about a minute and shows you the real openings. Call us at (480) 903-4544 during hours, and a person answers, not a phone tree. Or simply come in: we welcome walk-ins and prefer appointments, so the honest walk-in outcome is sometimes a conversation on the spot and sometimes a proper booking for another day.
One Paradise Valley-specific note: the first visit takes less of your day than you are budgeting for it. A consultation is an unhurried conversation, not a half-day event, and with the drive at ten to fifteen minutes it fits between school pickup and dinner. The mental space it takes up beforehand is the only oversized part.
What you leave with
A plan in plain words: what we would start with, why that order, what each step costs from our menu, and what to expect along the way. If timing matters for an event or a season of travel, the plan is built backward from the date.
And that is the whole visit. No membership pitch at the door, no countdown attached to the plan, no follow-up campaign designed to wear you down. The plan does not expire the moment you walk out, and plenty of people sit with one for a month before booking. Ten minutes back down Tatum, and the unknown that kept you from booking for months is just a room you have already been in.
If you have been circling this for a while, consider the consultation itself the errand, complete in its own right. You will know what your skin would actually be offered, what it would actually cost, and who would actually be doing it. Whatever you decide after that, you will be deciding with real information instead of a guess, and that is worth a fifteen-minute drive on any Tuesday.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is the consultation really free, even for Paradise Valley residents just exploring?
Yes, always, and it is not a teaser. A consultation with us is a real appointment with a medical professional, at no charge and with no obligation attached. Plenty of people leave with a plan and book nothing that day, and that is fine with us. Exploring is a legitimate reason to come in.
How far is éclat from Paradise Valley?
We are in North Phoenix on North Tatum Boulevard, serving Paradise Valley and Scottsdale. From most of the town it is a straight run up Tatum of roughly ten to fifteen minutes, no freeway required. We welcome walk-ins and prefer appointments, so the time you arrive to is protected.
Do I need to know which treatment I want before my first visit?
No. Most people arrive with something they have noticed rather than something they can name, and turning a concern into the right treatment, or into an honest recommendation to wait, is what the consultation is for. If you do arrive knowing what you want, the conversation simply starts further along.
Who does the treatments at éclat?
Everything we do is performed or supervised by medical professionals: a clinical team led by our Medical Director, a nurse practitioner, working alongside licensed aestheticians. Who you sit with depends on what you are considering, but the plan you leave with is a clinical one, priced from our published menu.
How far ahead of an event should a first appointment sit?
It depends on the treatment, which is exactly what the consultation works out. As one example, neurotoxin builds through its first week, so that appointment wants to sit at least two weeks before a date that matters: enough for the result to settle, and enough to adjust it if anything wants adjusting.
What are éclat's hours, and how do I book?
Monday through Thursday 10:00 to 5:30, Friday 10:00 to 4:00, Saturday 11:00 to 3:00, closed Sunday. Book online through our website, call (480) 903-4544 and a person answers, or walk in. Mid-morning midweek is the quietest first-visit slot; Saturdays book up first.
Can I book a treatment on the same day as my consultation?
Sometimes, depending on the treatment and the schedule, and there is never pressure to. The consultation ends with a plan, not a checkout. Some people book before they leave because they are ready; others take the plan home and think about it. Both are normal here.
